What's a Cricut you ask?

Well, let's just start by saying that a Cricut is one of the neatest, newest things out in the crafting market. It's a personal die-cutting machine that, unlike the Sizzix, is electronic, so you don't have to do anything by hand. Great for any kind of paper-crafting. The Cricut machine is completely self-contained, so you don't need to plug it into a computer to make it work. There are various different cartridges that you can purchase to have different type fonts and designs, although the machine itself comes with a basic font and shapes.

Basically, you put the paper in the machine, type in what you want to cut out, whether it's an image or words, select any special feature you want to apply to that image, hit go and the machine cuts it out for you. No more scissors, no more hand cramps, no more pulling a handle and loading up a die (see the Sizzix). Just quick, easy, and precise! Oh, did I mention that with the Cricut you have the option of choosing different sizes also? Not so with other die-cutting systems. One cartridge does up to 12 different sizes of that same image. Pretty neat...

The cartridge I got for Christmas is the Paper Pups. Here is just a brief sample of some of the designs that come in that cartridge.
