Grandparent's Day card (number 1)

Okay, nobody be jealous - we sent one card to one set of grandparents and one to the other. (My parents don't really do email, so they don't get an e-card...)

This is just too funny! Now that Seth is really drooling up a storm thanks to the whole teething thing, when he blows raspberries now it really has a "neat" effect! Apparently he's decided that it's a lot of fun, because he's been doing this all afternoon! He's just too cute! (Of course he's all wet, but who cares?)

My little talker

It's one of my favorite things when Seth "talks" to me. His baby babble is so precious, I need to make sure we've got it recorded. (Although it's hard to get it on tape since he tends to freeze up whenever he sees a camera of any kind...)

The funny thing is when sometimes in his babbling he says things that seem to be real words. The other day he said a bunch of stuff and I could swear "mommy" was in the middle of it. Sure, I know it wasn't for real, but it was a special moment!

Now that he's really experimenting with his noises, there's one in particular that realy cracks me up... he makes this "eeeee" noise that stretches out and he does it several times in a row. Every time he does it, (I almost hate to admit this) it makes me think of Mini-Me from the Autsin Powers movie and the noise he makes. I know, it's awful to compare the two - especially since my little man is WAY cuter than Mini-Me could ever hope to be - among other reasons! But seriously, he really does sound like it. It's too funny!

I can't help but wonder if he's going to be a talker as he gets older. We don't talk a lot at home during the day - when it's just the two of us. Now that I'm trying to get some work that I can do from home, I'm grateful that he entertains himself so easily, although it does make me feel bad that I'm not really playing with him all day. Oh well, at least I am at home with him, and once he gets older and plays in an interactive way, I'm sure our routine will change - again! I guess it's best just to go with the flow and be ready to adapt!

This one's for you Ron...

Just wanted to share these shots of Seth in his OH State garb... not even a year old and already he's got a "team" to cheer for!

He's just too cute! (and I think he knows it...)

7 months and counting

The time just keeps flying by and little Seth is 7 months old... He is growing so fast it's crazy. Just yesterday he leaned forward to reach for something and I can tell by the way he did it that it probably won't be long before he's going places. When he tolerates time on his tummy, he can really wiggle himself around pretty well. As much as i can't wait to see how he progresses as he gets older, I think I'll miss the days when I could just put him down and know that he wasn't oging anywhere!

He's just such a great kid - he's got such a ready smile and a wonderful laugh... he can make your day when he gives you either one! I'm so excited to see what kind of little boy he's going to be...
